Look, let’s face it, there can only be one winner.  And winning generally requires dedication, discipline and boring things like not eating pizza, etc.

There is nothing wrong with second place, you guys.  You gave it a Varsity-Effort, and you still get to stand on the medal podium and  hold flowers and wave to the crowd underneath fireworks.

Really, it’s kind of like winning, just without the pressure of high future expectations and the tacky gold accessories.
